Zao have reformulated the BB Cream to give it a lighter texture with easy blending properties. It is now also 100% natural vs 99.67% natural previously. The new improved formula glides on with ease, giving great coverage and a long-lasting, flattering finish.
Sun Protection: The BB Cream has a very well-balanced ratio of protection from potentially damaging UVA rays which can accelerate skin ageing and skin cancers, as well as from the UVB rays that are responsible for sunburn. The SPF contains NO nanoparticles or raw synthetic materials, instead deploying Karanja oil as an effective plant-based sunscreen due to its properties in providing natural protection against the sun.
This product, as with all Zao products, is free from talc and parabens (synthetic preservatives), using instead micronised silver as an effective and non-toxic preservative. Zao does not use nanoparticles in their products, with the micronised silver being larger than nanoparticle size, making Zao products safe and free from toxic chemical preservatives.

The BB Cream has been tested by dermatologists for hydration. Hydration is achieved by the use of 3 moisturising complexes, Fucocert, Pheohydrane and AQUAXYL™, which help to moisturise the skin by boosting the skin’s natural moisturising factors (NMF), but also by limiting hydration loss due to the reinforced synthesis of lipids and proteins of the stratum corneum, leaving skin visibly soothed, restructured and more beautiful.
Organic Karanja Oil: Ideal for even the most sensitive skin, this oil has emollient properties enrich and protect dry skin, as well as purifying active ingredients to clarify skin.
Pheohydrane: This marine complex is ideal to instantly moisturise skin and prevent water loss. Its intense and rapid moisturising properties combines a micro-algae extract rich in NMF* boosting amino acids, marine sugars with second skin qualities and a remineralising seawater concentrate.

AQUAXYL™: Its “anti-dehydration shield” action is guaranteed by strengthening the synthesis of essential lipids and proteins involved in the organisation of the stratum corneum. It is an essential ingredient of skin hydration, boosting all the factors involved in skin hydration, leaving skin looking beautifully hydrated with reinforced horny layer. The presence of Organic Aloe Vera and Glycerin enhances hydration.
Organic Bamboo Extract: This key ingredient is used to leverage the high concentration of silica in bamboo, Zao’s star ingredient. Silica stimulates the formation of collagen and elastin fibres, facilitating firmness, elasticity and retention of moisture levels.
Instructions for use: Apply a thin layer to bare or hydrated skin. Start by applying a small amount of the BB Cream to the back of your hand, using your fingertips to warm it up. Put a small amount of BB cream on the back of your hand, warm the material with your fingertips and then dab onto your face, starting at the centre and then blending towards the hairline and neck. Small touches on the entire face.
